Patrick Tribett was nabbed in July 2005 by Ohio cops and charged with abusing harmful intoxicants. The 41-year-old Tribett, it seems, had been huffing spray paint and needed a refill (he was popped after seeking a fresh can at a Bellaire general store). According to police, Tribett’s pupils were constricted and he replied slowly to their questions. Oh, and “officers observed the paint on face and hands,” as can be seen in the below mug shot. Tribett, who was previously busted for assault, domestic violence, and inhaling harmful intoxicants, was booked into the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office lockup.
LOS ANGELES – Singer Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy has been arrested on a two-year-old warrant for driving without a valid license.
Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore says the 25-year-old was arrested late Tuesday during a traffic stop by Los Angeles police. He was booked on an outstanding warrant for driving without a license and released early Wednesday after posting $15,000 bail.
Court records show Stump failed to appear on a misdemeanor driving without a valid driver’s license case in Beverly Hills in June 2007. A judge issued a warrant for his arrest at the time.
Robert Van Winkle (aka Vanilla Ice) was arrested by Davie, Florida police in January 2001 after allegedly pulling hair out of his wife’s head during an argument. Van Winkle, who copped to disorderly conduct in April 2001, was sentenced to probation and ordered to attend family therapy sessions.
Christian Brando, son of Hollywood legend Marlon Brando, was arrested in May 1990 for the murder of his sister’s boyfriend. The younger Brando copped to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Tara Patrick (aka Carmen Electra) was arrested by Miami Beach police in November 1999 and charged with battering her husband, former NBA star Dennis Rodman. However, charges against the “Baywatch” star were eventually dropped.
Rapper/actor Andre 3000 (real name: Andre Benjamin) was arrested by Georgia police in March 2009 after Henry County cops clocked the performer’s Porsche going 109 mph. The posted speed limit was 65 mph. The Grammy winner told cops he was speeding because he missed an exit and had to turn around. Benjamin, one half of the duo Outkast, posted $1200 bond and was released pending a court date.
Christian Slater was arrested at New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport in December 1994 and charged with criminal possession of a weapon (the actor had packed a piece). Slater reached a plea agreement in early-1995 that required him to spend three days working with homeless children.
Director Gus Van Sant was arrested in December 2006 on a drunk driving charge in Oregon. Van Sant, 54, was popped by Portland cops and booked into the Multnomah County jail, where the below mug shot was snapped. The Portland resident was nominated for an Academy Award for 1997’s “Good Will Hunting,” and has also directed “Elephant,” “Drugstore Cowboy,” and “My Own Private Idaho.”
Wu-Tang Clan member Russell Jones, also known as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Big Baby Jesus, and presently Dirt McGirt, was paroled from the Clinton Correctional Facility in February 2003. The rapper was photographed by the New York State Department of Correctional Services in December 2001 while serving 2 to 4 years on a drug charge. He previously posed in California after his arrest for making terrorist threats to customers at a West Hollywood nightclub.
Actor Haley Joel Osment was charged with drunk driving and marijuana possession after he crashed his 1996 Saturn station wagon while returning home from a Los Angeles concert in July 2006. The 18-year-old Osment, who starred as the boy who saw dead people in “The Sixth Sense,” suffered minor injuries in the accident and was briefly hospitalized. Osment, who posed for a mug shot snapped by an L.A. sheriff’s deputy, was released from custody after posting a $15,000 bond.
Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was arrested by Berkeley, California cops in January 2003 and charged with drunk driving. The 30-year-old punk rocker was behind the wheel of his black BMW convertible when police pulled him over for speeding. After smelling booze on his breath, police administered a Breathalyer test, with Armstrong blowing a .18, more than twice the state’s legal limit of .08.
Lil’ Kim (aka Kimberly Jones) was arrested by New Jersey cops in July 1996 and charged with possession of marijuana. The rapper was rounded up after a police raid on the Teaneck home of Biggie Smalls (aka Christopher Wallace), her rap rabbi.
Ne-Yo (real name: Shaffer Smith) was arrested by Georgia cops in February 2008 and charged with reckless driving and driving without a license. The 28-year-old R&B singer was clocked by Cobb County police going over 100 mph in his 2006 Range Rover. Smith was then taken to the county lockup where he posed for the below mug shot before posting $1,300 bond and being released.
DECEMBER 31—Actor Matt Dillon was arrested late last night for excessive speeding on a Vermont highway. Dillon, 44, was nabbed by State Police after his car was clocked going 106 mph on Interstate 91. He was fingerprinted and photographed by state troopers, and given a citation to appear at the Orange County court.
